We at the Chamber are very proud to support CASA for Kids of Geauga County in 2012! Proceeds from Chamber events throughout 2012 will benefit CASA for Kids. You might be wondering, "Who started CASA for Kids?" or "What is CASA for Kids?". The answer is simple, Judge Charles “Chip” Henry, was the founder of CASA for KIDS of Geauga County. During his time in court, he worked diligently to provide safe homes for abused and neglected children, bringing the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program to Geauga County. When the court must intervene to help a child, CASA volunteers represent the child’s best interest. Friends of CASA, supports the needs of the children by funding camp experiences, tutoring, music lessons, etc.

Geauga Consumer Connection Show Set for May 9, 2012
County business show format re-tooled with Geauga consumers in mind
The five Geauga County Chambers of Commerce have collaborated on a new format for the annual county-wide business show, previously known as “Business After Hours.” The new format is designed to be very consumer friendly and introduce county residents to the vast array of local businesses throughout Geauga. The Geauga Consumer Connection show is slated for May 9, 2012 and will be held from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Kent State University, Geauga Campus in Burton. |

The Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its 37th Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser with a new time, format and price. Join us on Friday, June 15th, 2012 at Chardon Lakes Golf Course located at 470 South Street in Chardon. Check-in begins at 7:00 am followed by an 8:00 am shotgun start (4 person scramble).
The cost is $75 per golfer or $300 per foursome. If you sign up your foursome before June 1st, 2012, the cost will only be $250. Sales are limited to the first 144 golfers, so early registration is recommended. Registration forms are available by clicking here.
The outing includes 18 holes of golf with cart, open range, breakfast/lunch, Hole-In-One prizes and Hit the Windshield Contest. Special events and golf contests include Skins Game, Long Drives and Accuracy Holes, Putting and Betting Holes (PAR 3’s). The new breakfast/lunch format removes the usual reverse raffle opportunity, making golf the main focus, so get those foursomes together for an enjoyable day of what we all love best!
