Karpinski Engineering is a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm for regional and national architectural clients and facility owners. Established in 1983, our staff has years of professional experience in systems design for healthcare, education, government, commercial, and industrial facilities which are comfortable, visually pleasing, user friendly, and energy efficient.
We provide design services for facility planning including heating, ventilating, and air conditioning; plumbing and piping systems; power distribution and lighting systems; civil engineering; lighting consulting services; communication systems; fire protection and life safety systems; security and fire safety; commissioning; energy use analysis; and detailed analysis of existing facilities and systems.
With a staff of more than 100 and four office locations — in Cleveland, Columbus, and Uniontown, Ohio; and Ashville, New York — we are well-prepared to assist with almost any design project. You may already be familiar with some of our projects.
Karpinski Engineering provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for Lake Health TriPoint Medical Center, a 300,000-SF replacement hospital for Lake Health that opened in the fall of 2009. This $150-million facility includes five surgery suites, private patient rooms designed to provide a soothing and “home-like” environment to enhance healing, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging services, and decentralized nurse stations intended to accelerate response time to patient care.
Karpinski Engineering also assisted with renovations to another local landmark, the Chardon Public Library on East Park Street. The project included HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems renovations to accommodate new ceilings and floor plan layout. Lighting was upgraded, and computer workstations were added for public use.
